According to authorities in Dubai, a fire onboard a container-ship, which was berthed in the at the Jebel Ali Port, one of the largest ports in the world, wreaked a havoc in the region. An explosion was caused owing to the fire onboard the vessel, whose effects were felt from as far as twenty-five kilometers away from the port.

Dubai Media Office on Twitter said, “A fire caused by an explosion within a container on board a ship at Jebel Ali Port has been brought under control; no casualities have been reported”.
The cooling process for the fire was then brought underway, and it was brought under control. The cause of the explosion is predicted to be flammable dangerous cargo, which the vessel was said to be carrying. Fortunately, the aft and the accommodation block of the ship was left undamaged, and there were no loss of life, or injuries reported whatsoever, till now.
