The construction of the first of the two next-generation LNG-fueled cruise ships, being built for Princess Cruises, which is a subsidiary of the Carnival Corporation was flagged off, after Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri cut the first steel for the vessel. The 175,000 GT (gross tonnes) spherical pressure ‘sphere’ cruise ships would be built at the Monfalcone yard in Italy, while the steel cutting ceremony was organized in San Giorgio di Nogaro (Udine) at the Centro Servizi Navali, in northeastern Italy.
