China Classification Society (CCS) has inked an LNG cooperation deal with French containment firm, GTT. The two companies would now be cooperating with one another in several areas of the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) industry.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for technical cooperation has been signed, for the application of GTT Membrane Technology. As per the framework of the agreement, the two firms would be working hand-in-hand, for designing China’s inland LNG transportation waterways, small and large LNG Carriers, LNG-fueled vessels as well as shore based LNG storage tanks, said GTT.
Also, CSS would be providing in-depth technical analysis, which includes risk assessment an the technical plan approval of the cargo containment system.
The two companies further discussed about the current scenario of the LNG market, and other kinds of possible energy developments in the international and domestic markets, considering the reduction of carbon emissions in the shipping industry.
