BG Shipping has agreed to a time-charter contract for post-panamax vessel Amphitrite, owned by the Greek bulk carrier owner Diana Shipping.

The charter for the 2012-built vessel would be commencing from 13th September, and would be running till 15th October, 2022, with an option to extend the contract further till 15th December, 2022. The charter-rate is revealed to be $27,000 per day, generating a total revenue of about $10.58 million for Diana Shipping. The vessel was previously chartered to Singapore-based SwissMarine for about 13 to 15 months, at a charter rate of $10,250 per day, which is about 62% lower than the current valuation.
The New York listed bulker owner had fixed a 2013-built kamsarmax vessel named Myrto, to Solebay last week, at a charter rate of $28,500 per day, while its 2009-built capsize vessel Huston was chartered to Koch Shipping on 30th August, at a rate of $27,000 per day.
